Aug 27, 2012

San Jose, CA -- August 27, 2012 -- Prysm, a world leader in videowall technology, has won the Best Comprehensive Equipment Device Award at the Beijing International Radio TV &amd; Film equipment exhibition 2012 (BIRTV), alongside China-based AV distributor and integrator Century Sage Scientific.

The award recognized Prysm’s innovative Laser Phosphor Display (LPD) TD-1 tile, which comprises the most pioneering technologies to create striking videowall displays, and Century Sage Scientific’s success supplying and distributing the technology to the Chinese AV industry.

The proprietary LPD technology creates images with lasers scanning the surface of the screen and energizing a phosphor panel, providing an ultra wide viewing angle of 178°. The environmentally friendly option eases energy costs by up to 75% when compared to traditional LCD and projection displays, lowering long-term costs.

Prysm exhibited at the BIRTV show in the Century Sage Scientific booth, showcasing an impressive curved videowall measuring about 17ft wide x 5ft tall, which received great interest from visitors.

Sidney Rittenberg, Jr. Vice President and General Manager of Prysm Greater China said,

“Prysm’s LPD technology has become recognized as a key player in the Asian market and continues to evolve and impress with its small seams, stunning brightness, and consistent high quality viewing from every angle. Its environmentally-friendly credentials and long life span offer further reasons why it is becoming established as the most up-to-date technologically advanced large format display in the market.”

Prysm will next exhibit at InfoComm Middle East & Africa, October 14 – 18, 2012, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
