UAE: February 14, 2012 - Dubai TV has decided to increase the size of its Prysm laser phosphor display currently used for its sports channel. The original video wall was the first to be installed in the Middle East in October last year.
‘Since we installed it in October, they decided they liked it so much they have increased the size of it,’ said Prysm VP for Europe, Africa and the Middle East Steve Scorse. ‘We are just waiting to install another row at the top which will make it 30 per cent bigger.’
The installation could be the first of many at the broadcaster as it has recently received its second order for two further displays in its news studio. ‘They are replacing some older displays, some projection displays in the news studio,’ continued Mr Scorse. ‘The news studio will have two screens. The main backdrop display is 9m wide while the presenters display is 3m wide. Baba Broadcast services is again the integrator for the news studio and are also managing the wall extension for the Dubai Sports Studio. The news studio installation will be completed in March.’
