Eric Adler is the CEO and co-founder of Flume. As a Central Oregon native, avid outdoorsman and an adventurer at heart, Eric has always had a drive to use and support sustainable products and practices. His brother was an expert mechanic and his ability to design and create whatever he imagined drove Eric to study mechanical engineering at Cal Poly.
By his senior year, Eric knew that a desk job as an engineer would not satisfy his entrepreneurial instinct. California was in the middle of a devastating drought and water supplies were dwindling on the entire West Coast. The problem was evident, but a conservation solution was missing. This is where Flume was born. Today, Flume has grown from a simple conservation tool, into an intelligent leak detection and water management system for the entire home. It is a device that is as useful for homeowners and water utilities as it is for insurance companies who are attempting to stem the billions of dollars pouring into residential water damage every year.
