Jose Luis Garcıa-Cordero is an assistant professor at Unidad Monterrey where he works on improving the delivery of local and global public health solutions by engineering accurate, rapid, and low-cost diagnostics platforms. He’s also interested in developing new technological tools to help clinicians and biological researchers discover the root cause of diseases. His and his team’s goal is to help in the improvement of diagnostics and new treatment methods. To achieve these goals the group employs techniques from microfluidics, microfabrication, polymer manufacturing, microelectronics, optics, and molecular biology.
Jose Luis received his Ph.D from Dublin City University, his M.S in Microfluidics from University of Alberta, and his B.Sc in Electronics Systems Engineering from Instituto Technologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.
